The Kerala Story has shown a huge growth at the box office in India as according to early estimates, the movie has collected in the range of Rs. 12 to 13 crores on its second day. With this, the two-day total of The Kerala Story stands at approx. Rs. 20 crores, and the movie will be looking at an opening weekend collection of around Rs. 35 crores.
The film is led by Adah Sharma and within two days of its release, The Kerala Story has already become the highest-grossing film of her career. The film is already a super hit and will emerge as a blockbuster in the next few days with a big return on investment for the producers.
Both the political sentiment and the controversial subject are pushing the business of The Kerala Story, and this is something similar to what happened last year with The Kashmir Files. The Monday collections will give an idea of the lifetime business of The Kerala Story and if the film somehow manages to hit a double digit on Monday, it would be an indication of a historic run.
The Kerala Story is the second clean hit of the year after Pathaan and may well emerge to be a blockbuster in the coming few days. The national chains on Saturday collected around Rs. 5 crores, as compared to Rs. 3.50 crores on the opening day.
