The Kerala Story opens well on Friday (1st Day) in the morning shows. Samples are received from multiplexes only. Single screens are yet to be started and reports are awaited from there. The film has taken an opening of 30% approx in around 1600 screens across India. This is a fantastic opening considering the film genre and face value. It looks like a box office winner is on the cards.

Last year we have seen that The Kashmir Files emerged as a big hit despite being made at a low cost and without any noticeable face value. Will The Kerala Story goes the same way? Let’s see how thing unfolds in the coming days.

The film has created a bit of controversy which is also helping the film cause. As the opening is good, it all depends on how it performs from Day 2 onwards. If content is liked by the audiences then there will be no stopping for the film as it will run for weeks. Morning shows occupancy suggests the film is on track to collect 6-7 cr nett approx for the first day. That will be an excellent start for the film with Saturday and Sunday still to come.
