On the trailer launch of Kangana’s upcoming project Dhaakad, the actress talked about how she wondered why she isn’t paid as much as her male counterparts. She also stated that she is satisfied that she is not underpaid. Kangana said, “I am sure I am not underpaid. This makes me feel all the men have helped me through this journey. Earlier, at times, I did think, why don’t I get paid equally like the heroes at this stage of my life? But now, happily, I can say that I am not underpaid.”

She also talked about rejecting A-list films led by Khans, Kumar, or other male actors. She said ” “I have had my own fair share of lower points when I refused a lot of male-centric films, you know, Khan-led films or Kumar-led films, all kinds of big hero films. I always had this vision that this (pointing towards the Dhaakad poster) is possible.” For rejecting such big projects, people often judged her and advised her not to waste her potential. People even labeled her ‘crazy’. The actress addressed all these comments, during the trailer launch.

‘Dhaakad’ is directed by Razneesh Ghai and produced by Deepak Mukut. Along with Kangana, viewers will also see Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta on the screen. The storyline revolves around a female intelligence agent who is running an operation all by herself in Central India. The trailer has more than 30 million views on YouTube. Big Bollywood personalities like Amitabh Bachan have also shared the trailer on their social media accounts. American writer Chris Gore also shared the movie’s trailer, comparing it to Marvel’s Black Widow, starring Scarlett Johanson. The movie releases on May 20, and fans cannot wait to watch it!
