South Korean female pop band TWICE has achieved a new milestone as the band will be honored at this year’s Billboard Women in Music Awards. According to Korean tabloid Soompi, TWICE will attend this year’s ceremony to receive the Breakthrough Award, and will be honored alongside stars like Lana Del Rey, Becky G, Kim Petras, Doechii, Ive Queen, Latto, Lainey Wilson, and more.

Billboard announced the return of the Billboard Women in Music Awards, which celebrates “today’s most influential female powerhouses who are shaping the music landscape.”

TWICE topped the charts throughout the year with its singles including its English song ‘Moonlight Sunrise’ which came out on January 20. The song topped the Spotify Top Songs Debut Chart and ranked second place and seventh place on the U.S. and the U.K. Spotify Chart respectively.

The song will also take the 84th spot on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart on the week starting this Saturday. Meanwhile, the band will release their highly anticipated 12th mini album in March, which will follow last year’s BETWEEN 1&2.

The 2023 Billboard Women in Music Awards is set to take place on March 1 in Los Angeles. The event will be hosted by Emmy-winning writer/actress Quinta Brunson. The ceremony will also be streamed live.
