The makers of Venkatesh and Rana Daggubati starrer Rana Naidu, which is the highly anticipated crime-thriller series on Netflix, recently dropped the trailer of it. The trailer has left many fans impressed and they can’t wait for Venkatesh and Rana Daggubati to share the screen space. Besides this, the project is special for another reason. After almost three decades Venkatesh has done a Hindi project. Speaking of the same at the trailer launch event, Venkatesh took all of us down memory lane as he did an impromptu jam session by singing ‘Phoolon Sa Chehra Tera’ from Anari.

While speaking to the press about his career and doing a Hindi project, Venkatesh asserted, “If you go flashback 30 years back, I mean, the last time all of you saw me in a Hindi film. I mean ‘Phoolo Sa Chehra Tera, Pariyon Si Muskan Hai. Rang Tera Dekh Ke Roop Tera Dekh Ke…’ It’s been 30 long years. And then there’s another film, ‘him-cream’ (a cult dialogue of Taqdeerwala), right? I mean, after that, I’m coming in doing this. This is some kind of a jump for me. It’s really crazy. It was wild. And I’m so glad I got into this wonderful series.”
The 62-year-old actor further added, “It’s been a huge challenge for me and the image or whatever I’m supposed to be having over the years, family hero and a soft-spoken guy. I mean, I’ve done soft roads, a lot of comedy films. But this has been something amazing. I got to do something really different with the support of all the super cast, talented actors and my directors.”
Coming back to Netflix’s upcoming series, the web show is set to premiere on March 10. It is an official adaptation of the acclaimed American series Ray Donovan. Besides, the real-life uncle-nephew duo, Rana Naidu also stars Surveen Chawla, Ashish Vidyarthi, Abhishek Banerjee, Priya Banerjee, Gaurav Chopra and Sushant Singh
