According to the Korean tabloid Soompi, Song Mino’s agency YG Entertainment confirmed that the news about the singer-rapper’s enlisting on March 2. A source from the agency shared in a statement, “Song Mino will begin his alternative service as a public service worker starting on March 24.”
“The reason for his physical examination grade falls under personal information, so please understand that it is difficult to speak [on this matter],” the source added. “To prevent accidents caused by congestion, there will be no plans for separate on-site events. Please give warm encouragement so that Song Mino can fulfill his military duties and return in good health.”
Song Mino will become the third member of WINNER to enlist in the military, after Kim Jin Woo and Lee Seung Hoon. The members have already completed their service. The band last made their long-awaited comeback with Holiday in 2022.
The track list included ‘Family,’ ‘Sweet Home’ and ‘Little Finger.’ Meanwhile, maknae Kang Seung Yoon is also set to enlist in military sometime later this year.
