Television actress, Dalljiet Kaur has been living the best phase of her life. The diva is on cloud nine as she is all set to get married to her long-time boyfriend, Nikhil Patel, in March 2023. For the unversed, Dalljiet got engaged to her UK-based boyfriend in January 2023. In a recent interview, she talked about taking time before finally falling in love with Nikhil.
Dalljiet Kaur on taking a long time before finally giving marriage a second chance
In an interview with Etimes, Dalljiet Kaur opened up about giving a second chance to love and marriage. Talking about the same, the actress even revealed why it took her so long to move on after her separation from her ex-husband, Shalin Bhanot. The actress stated that she took such a long time as she didn’t want to take any wrong decision. Further, Dalljiet also said that for a couple of years, she was confused about whether she should choose someone for the sake of herself or her son, Jaydon. In her words:
“My biggest fear was that I shouldn’t make a wrong decision for the sake of Jaydon. Do-teen saal mein mujhe samajh nahi aaya ki Jaydon ke liye choose kiya toh mera kya hoga aur mere liye kiya toh uska kya hoga.”

In the same interview, Dalljiet even revealed that she did go on several dates before falling head over heels in love with Nikhil. Further, the actress said that she had ghosted many because she was vulnerable. Talking about the importance of a companion in one’s life, Dalljiet stated that with time she realised that as much as her son needed a father, she also missed having a partner. In Dalljiet’s words:
“I have forced myself to go on dates only to chicken out in two days. I would block the person out of fear because I was vulnerable. However, while I was busy picking up the broken pieces of my life and knowing how much Jaydon missed having a dad, I also realised how much I missed having a companion. Now, that was a new feeling.”

Further, Dalljiet even talked about her relationship with Nikhil. The actress revealed that she is madly in love with Nikhil. Dalljiet even stated that she is experiencing the beauty of falling in love all over again. Further, the diva mentioned how she never thought that all this would happen again in her life. Elaborating more about it, Dalljiet said:
“I am in love with Nikhil and can feel butterflies in my stomach every time he calls me. I never thought this would happen. I always thought that I would marry first and then fall in love.”

Dalljiet Kaur on giving marriage another chance
In an interview with the Times of India, Dalljiet Kaur had talked about giving marriage another chance. Talking about the same, the actress revealed how her son, Jaydon reacted to her relationship with Nikhil. Dalljiet mentioned that after meeting Nikhil a couple of months ago, Jaydon called him papa on his own. In the same interview, Dalljiet even shed light on her equation with Nikhil’s daughters, Aariyana and Aanika and said that she is proud to have such beautiful girls.
For the unversed, Dalljiet was earlier married to actor, Shalin Bhanot, however, they parted ways in 2013 on an ugly note.
