Caught Out is a feature-length documentary that blows the lid on the biggest match-fixing scandal to rock the world of international cricket. On March 9, the streaming giant, Netflix, dropped its one-minute-forty-seven-seconds-long trailer to give a sneak peek into it. It is a pulsating story that looks at the trajectory of cricket in India, brimming with unexpected twists and turns whilst exploring how the cricketing fraternity fought back from one of the biggest corruption scandals.

The trailer opens with a voice-over saying, “The greatest dream for any Indian boy of the 90s was to play for India.” Then, eventually, it digs through one of the biggest scandals in the history of the game, involving some of the big guns of the game at the time, the series takes a dive into what happened behind the unravelling of the truth behind the match-fixing scandal.

As soon as the trailer was released, fans flooded the comments section with their reactions. “Netflix never Disappointed with his amazing content,” wrote a viewer, while another exclaimed, “Netflix and great documentaries, a match made in heaven.” A third one commented, “Netflix never misses with their documentaries, excited for this one.”

Directed by Supriya Sobti Gupta, produced by Megha Mathur under PASSION PICTURES in association with MOW Productions, the documentary will stream exclusively on Netflix from March 17.
