The Luv Ranjan-directed romantic comedy, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has shown a good hold in collections on its second day despite coming off from a holiday on Wednesday. According to estimates, the Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starring film has collected in the range of Rs. 9.50 to 10.50 crores on its second day, taking the two-day collections to Rs. 25.25 crores.

Being a mid-week release, a drop in collections was expected on Thursday as it was an entire working day. The 2nd-day business of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar on a working day is better than almost 99% of the films that were released post the pandemic and the film is expected to gain good momentum again over the weekend.

The film has seen a drop primarily in places like Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Punjab, as the metros are rock steady on the second day. Places like Bihar have in fact seen an upward swing in collections as the cinema halls were shut on Wednesday. It will all be on Saturday and Sunday to show big gains as the audience word of mouth is definitely tilted towards the positive side. A mid-week release is always tricky, but TJMM has passed the first two days with flying colors.
