According to the Korean tabloid Soompi, earlier this week, Fantagio stated that its memorial space honoring Moonbin, who tragically passed away last week, would be open until April 30. However, on April 28, the company announced that it had decided to relocate the memorial space and postpone its closing until June 6.

Fantagio remarked, “After taking into consideration the opinions of the many AROHA who found it difficult to visit the memorial space within the limited time period, we have decided to extend the visitation period until June 6, the 49th day since [Moonbin’s] passing, so that the memorial space can be used a bit longer.”

“We plan to prepare a new memorial space in a location where [mourners] can fully concentrate on [mourning,” said the agency. “Starting from April 28, the memorial space that was located at the front door of the Fantagio building, inside the parking lot, and behind the building will be gradually moved to the rooftop of the company building.”

The agency added, “As a result, the memorial space that we set up on one side of the parking lot will only be available for use until April 30, and we ask for your understanding in this regard. We plan to keep all of the precious letters and gifts that you have left at all the memorial spaces, and in order for us to keep them undamaged, we plan to periodically remove and store them during the time that the [memorial space] is open.”

Fantagio continued, “As there are numerous tenants in our building aside from our company, and it is a space that we all use together, we ask that you refrain from visiting other floors aside from the memorial space during this time.”

Additionally, the agency also announced in a statement that they will be closing ASTRO’s Moonbin&Sanha’s Weverse community in the wake of Moonbin’s sudden passing. Moonbin&Sanha first launched their Weverse community on April 17, just two days before Moonbin’s tragic death.

“While expressing our deep grief at the sudden passing of our artist ASTRO’s Moonbin, we are making an announcement regarding the suspension of Moonbin&Sanha’s Weverse service,” the agency said in the statement. “All services within Moonbin&Sanha’s Weverse platform will end on April 30.”

The agency added, “Following the termination of service, it will not be possible to view or upload posts, photos, or videos on all menus, and it will not be possible to enter the community following the end of service. If you need to back up the content in Moonbin&Sanha’s Weverse community, please proceed with the backup individually. We apologize for the inconvenience caused in using the service.”

Moonbin was reportedly found dead in his apartment by his manager when he immediately made a call to the police. The police suspect possible suicide. The news of the death of the singer was confirmed by his music label, Fantagio.
