IU and Park Bo Gum starrer You Have Done Well issues apology for causing inconvenience to locals while filming the drama

The production team for South Korean Netflix series You Have Done Well (literal title) has apologized officially after inconveniencing locals while filming. The new series stars IU and Park Bo Gum in lead roles.

As reported by the Korean tabloid Soompi, on April 26, someone shared a post online about stumbling upon a filming location for the drama You Have Done Well while visiting the Gochang Green Barley Field Festival. They were stopped from entering a certain area due to filming and told not to take photos, even in a different direction from the filming location.

Other people commented with similar experiences, and it was later confirmed that the drama being filmed was You Have Done Well. The drama’s production company Pan Entertainment shared, “First off, we want to sincerely apologize to citizens who have experienced inconveniences. We tried to minimize inconvenience in the process of safe filming and preventing spoilers from leaking, but we apologize once again for failing to pay closer attention to those who spent their valuable time visiting [the festival].”

They added, “We deeply thank citizens for being understanding of our filming and we will work hard to be more careful in our filming process in the future too.” As noted by Soompi, the upcoming drama will tell the life stories of Ae Soon and Gwan Shik who were born on Jeju Island in the 1950s. IU will star as rebellious and positive Ae Soon who gets nervous every time she rebels.

Meanwhile, Park Bo Gum will portray the role of an introvert Gwan Shik, an extremely diligent character. He is a silent warrior who loves Ae Soon from the very beginning. The upcoming drama is written by writer Im Sang Choon who previously wrote Fight for My Way and When the Camellia Blooms. It is being directed by My Mister director Kim Won Seok.
