Indian industrialist, Mukesh Ambani is ranked as one of the richest business tycoons in the world. With so much wealth and riches, he and his family reside in their lavish home, Antilia, designed by Chicago-based architects Perkins and Will, and an Australian-based construction company, Leighton Holdings. Located in South Mumbai’s Altamount Road, Antilia is estimated to be the world’s second most expensive property after London’s prestigious Buckingham Palace, as it costs an estimated amount of USD 1-2 billion.

The Ambanis are beaming with happiness as they have met Isha Ambani’s twins, Krishna and Aadiya for the first time as they are back home in Mumbai from the United States, on December 24, 2022. And now, Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani are leaving no stone unturned to give their little munchkins an experience of a lifetime, and when it comes to celebrating their first New Year, the doting grandparents took it a notch higher. On December 29, 2022, social media was flooded with some mesmerising glimpses of Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s luxurious abode, Antilia. The building was fully decked up with disco lights and some magnificent lightwork, and it was a delight to watch it shining bright at night.

Isha Ambani’s twins, Krishna and Aadiya’s nursery in Antilia

The doting grandparents, Mukesh and Nita have arranged two nurseries at their Karuna Sindhu and Antilia home for Isha Ambani’s 1-month-old twins, Krishna and Aadiya. Reportedly, the nurseries would be designed by the architectural services company, Perkins and Will. Moreover, the little munchkin’s furniture will be from the luxurious brands, Loro Piana, Hermes, and Dior, and it would include some rotating beds with automated rooftops for the twins can enjoy the natural sunlight. Well, not just this, the brands, including the likes of Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, and Loro Piana exclusively designed the twins’ clothes. 

When Nita Ambani revealed why the Ambani family lives on the 27th floor of Antilia

The Ambani family resides on the 27th floor, leaving the rest 26 floors of their luxurious abode, Antilia, and reportedly, only close people are allowed on that floor. On the 27th storey lives Mukesh Ambani with his wife, Nita Ambani, their son, Akash Ambani and daughter-in-law, Shloka Mehta with their baby boy, Prithvi Akash Ambani. Mukesh and Nita’s second son, Anant Ambani too lives with them on the same floor. According to a report in Business Insider, Nita Ambani wanted all the rooms to have sufficient sunlight, so, she decided to stay upstairs.

The temperature inside Antilia can’t be altered

During her appearance on The Love Laugh Live Show, actress, Shreya Dhanwanthary revealed that a few years back, she had graced the designer duo, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla’s book launch event. To mark their ten years in the industry, the ace designers had called 50 top models to grace their designs, and Shreya was one among them. Moreover, one of their visits was the visit to the palatial abode of Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani. Recalling her visit, Shreya revealed that every floor in Mukesh Ambani’s house had a floor manager. As she was feeling very cold, she had asked the floor manager to increase the temperature of the AC. But she was told that the air conditioning couldn’t be turned down because the flowers and marble need the temperature to be a certain number.

Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani have created history with their modern home with an Indian heart. The magazine, Vanity Fair, had given a sneak peek of Mukesh Ambani’s home, Antilia in their June 2012 edition, and an interview with Nita Ambani. In the interview, Nita revealed that their house, Antilia is based on the theme of sun and lotus, and exquisite materials like rare woods, marble, mother of pearl and crystal were used to craft the shapes of the lotus and the sun in the building.
