In India, the cost of the web version is approximately ₹650 per month, while the mobile app version is priced at around ₹900. Many high-profile individuals in India, including numerous Bollywood celebrities have lost the blue mark after the subscription was implemented. Like many, actor Shahid Kapoor also found himself at the receiving end of Twitter’s latest blue tick verification policy update. While many haven’t reacted to the removal of the Twitter blue tick, Kapoor’s response, in Kabir Singh style, to the same has left the internet in splits.

For the unversed, from Thursday morning itself, the removal of the blue tick sparked the meme fest on the microblogging site. Among many others, a Twitter user shared a photo of Shahid from his film Kabir Singh scene and jokingly captioned it, “Shahid Kapoor on his way to thrash Elon Musk for his Blue tick.” For the unversed, Kabir Singh, a 2019 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, starred Shahid Kapoor in the lead role as a hot-headed and aggressive young medical student, who falls in love with a fellow student.

Well, Kapoor not only reacted to the photo but also re-shared it on his Twitter feed. He humorously tweeted, “Mere blue tick ko kisne touch kiya… Elon, tu wahi ruk main aaraha hu,” followed by a “haha” and a laughing emoticon.
