The Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has shown another spike in collections on Sunday as according to early estimates, the Luv Ranjan directed romantic comedy is looking to collect in the range of Rs. 17.50 to 18.50 crores. The national chains have gone up by around 7%, whereas the real growth has come in the mass belts, which have gone up by 10 to 12 percent on Sunday.
The 5-day total of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar stands at Rs. 71 crores and the movie is expected to hit a century latest by coming Saturday. The film has shown an upward trajectory on Saturday and Sunday, and this is a statement about appreciation in the audience.
The success of this Luv Ranjan film has kept the Rom-Com genre alive as we can expect more from the younger lot to announce films in this genre in the coming few months. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar collected Rs. 15.74 crores on day one followed by Rs. 10.34 crores, Rs. 10.52 crores, and Rs. 16.57 crores on day two, day three, and day four respectively. The fifth-day total will fall in the Rs. 18 crore range.
